The project is aimed at studying the problems of forming of an appropriate legal framework for state control and supervory activities and at the elaboration of a system of theoretical principles of legal regulation of control and supervisory activities (concept of legal regulation) that meets the “digital economy’s” needs.
The project urgency is explained by active penetration of new information technologies such us, big data, artificial intelligence and robotics, blockchain, cloud computing etc. in a socially important spheres, that in return raises the question about the need to preserve the effectiveness of public policies implementation, public security, protection of citizens ‘ rights through the prism of the state control and supervision.
Such changes in the object of control and supervision quite logically require the modernization of their existing forms and methods on the basis of the introduction of new technological solutions and tool of information and data processing, which could be a adequate response to the challenges of the modern information society with a “digital economy”.
Modern research mostly notes a huge potential of new information technologies for the modernization of the system of public administration (e-government), but in many cases they do not specifically affect the specific features of control and supervision and its legal framework, which emphasizes the scientific significance and novelty of the proposed study.
