Length of study: 4 years – Intramural form of study (Full-time attendance mode).
Clerks and referents are required for both commercial firms and state companies and bodies, such as the Nizhny Novgorod notary chamber. Graduates of this field are in demand and are highly valued for the quality of their education and professional skills in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Students study electronic document management, problems of ensuring information security and information protection, personnel document management, documentation support for the work of courts, Prosecutor’s offices, Internal Affairs bodies, state and municipal authorities.
The training is conducted by academic teaching staff of the Faculty of Law, the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship, the Institute of International Relations and World History, the Institute of Information Technologies of Mathematics and Mechanics of Lobachevsky University.
Students study a variety of legal disciplines: labor, criminal, civil, administrative law, and other mandatory and basic subjects. During the training, future document specialists or archivists learn how to process existing documents and create new ones, organize and maintain archive files, and ensure the safety of documents on various media.
Bachelors of documentary and archival studies can also continue their studies at the second stage of higher education and try their hand at the competition for a budget place in the master’s programme.
